About Vancouver Drive
Vancouver Drive is a four-piece alternative/indie rock group based in Dublin, Ireland.
The band was formed by brothers Gavin (lead vocals and rhythm guitar) and Alex Coleman (drums), who shortly after added John Morahan (lead guitar) and John Doody (bass) to complete the solid line-up. Influences include AC/DC, U2 and Arctic Monkeys. The band has played many gigs around Dublin throughout the years, and also the Knockanstockan festival in Co. Wicklow.
Two of the band’s songs, Troubadour and Never Felt This Way Before have featured in the ‘Radio Alliance Top 10’ for Sound Street radio and featured on their weekly music review show broadcast in Japan, Australia, Europe and the US across their 60 platforms. Troubadour has also featured on Radio Wigwam (UK), Lonely Oak radio (California), 382 radio (UK), Catorweb radio (Canada) and multiple Spotify playlists. Another of the band’s songs, When the Dawn Breaks received national TV coverage when featuring as a live performance on RTÉ’s Nationwide in Crab Lane studios.
Vancouver Drive have recently finished recording a 13-track album called The Fast Road. The album was recorded in Loop studios and produced by Gareth Desmond.
